Investigation Reveals The Absolute
This moment, for each of us, consists of thoughts (including all mental images), sensations (everything detected by the body and its sense-organs) and the Awareness of these. The former pair are a ‘flow of objects’ seen by the latter. This Awareness is a ‘constant, conscious perceiving presence’ which is present before, during and after each these objects. Therefore they appear in, exist in, are seen by and disappear in This. So at the deeper level we are this ‘constant presence’ (which has witnessed our entire life) rather than the fleeting objects appearing in It. For us every thing that we encounter consists of a mixture of these thoughts and sensations of which we become aware.
When investigated Awareness is found to be:
Still – For there is Awareness of the slightest movement of body or mind (thought or sensation)
Silent – For there is Awareness of the smallest sound or subtlest thought.
Serene – That is still and silent.
Here before all things ( Thoughts/sensations) appear,
Of these this is the seer,
Then when, as they must, they disappear,
This is still always here,
Noticing the next ones that appear.
Pure – For no appearance (thin) can taint It. The flow of thoughts and sensations does not change It.
Radiant – For It provides the ‘illumination’ by which this flow of appearances can bee ‘seen’.
Pristine - For no appearance can degrade It. The flow of thoughts and sensations does not change It.
Omnipresent – In our own experience It is ever present, for there can be no experience without It.
Experience is Awareness of our thoughts and sensations.
Omniscient – For there is effortless and choiceless Awareness of this flow.
Omnipotent – For this flow has no power over It, as it cannot change it.
The Source – For It is present before any thought or sensation, in fact before any ‘thing’ as all ‘things’ to us are just a mixture of thoughts and sensations.
.
The Presence – That these exist in
.
The Seer – Of these.
That - into Which these all subside, when they ‘pass’, as It is still present when they are gone.
Giving :
The Pure, Radiant, Pristine
Still, Silent Pristine,
Omnipresent
Omniscient
Omnipotent
Ocean of Awareness
Which is for us in this moment:
The Source in Which all things arise
The Presence in Which all things abide
The Seer by Which all things are spied
That into Which they all finally must subside,
When out of momentum – ‘the end of the ride’.
And we are in essence That, of which our body/minds are fleeting expressions and instruments.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
This Awareness can be defined as Consciousness at rest noticing (aware of) every thing that appears in it and has been shown to saturate the whole universe, from subatomic particles entangled in such a way that each is aware of what is occurring for (and to) their partner, to electrons changing their behaviour when (aware of) being observed , cells responding to (aware of) changing environments, white corpuscles attacking viruses they detect (are aware of) in the blood, moulds moving towards (when aware of) foods placed near them and so on... So This is the universal aware stillness in which all things (manifestations of cosmic energy) arise, abide, are spies and subside. For energy denotes motion and all motion arises, abides, can be spied and subsides in stillness.
Now investigating this in the same way gives:
Still – For there is Awareness of the slightest movement (thing) occurring in it.
Silent – For sound is vibration and thus in motion.
Serene – That is still and silent.
Here before all things ( movements/instances of cosmic energy) appear,
Of these this is the seer,
Then when, as they must, they disappear,
This is still always here,
Noticing the next ones that appear.
Pure – For no thing can taint It. The flow of movements does not change It.
Radiant – For It provides the ‘illumination’ by which this flow of movements can bee ‘seen’.
Pristine - For no movement can degrade It.
Omnipresent – By definition - ‘Consciousness at rest noticing (aware of) every thing that appears in it’.
Omniscient – By definition.
Omnipotent – For this flow has no power over It, as it cannot change it.
The Source – For It is present before any movement, in fact before any ‘thing’ as all ‘things’ are composed of cosmic energy and thus in motion
.
The Presence – That these exist in
.
The Seer – Of these.
That - into Which these all subside, when they ‘pass’, as It is still present when they are gone.
Giving :
